Symposium Submission Is Now Open
We invite proposals for regular and debate symposia in behavioral nutrition, physical activity, sedentary behavior and sleep. A symposium should combine complementary presentations into one evidence-based view of an important scientific question or a new area of research. Sessions typically run 75 minutes.

Symposium formats
Regular symposium
Up to three presentations on a shared question or theme, followed by a Discussant-led discussion.
Debate symposium
Two speakers (or two pairs) present contrasting interpretations of existing evidence on an important scientific question.
Please note: both formats must reserve at least 15 minutes for open discussion with the audience.
What's new for 2027
One proposal, submitted by the Chair
The Chair submits a single proposal with the session overview and all presentations.
Cohesive and data-driven
Every presentation must draw on completed research from multiple studies. Proposals based on planned or ongoing work, or on single studies, are not eligible.
Good to know
Submission limit
Each presenting author may submit up to two items in total: either 1 abstract and 1 symposium presentation, or 2 abstracts. Late-breaking abstracts count toward this limit. Chair and Discussant roles do not.
International collaboration
International collaboration is encouraged. If all speakers are from the same country, please explain why.
If your symposium is not selected
Its presenters may be invited to resubmit their presentation as a regular abstract (considered for poster presentation only).
