ISBNPA 2027 is bringing the global behavioural nutrition and physical activity community to Halifax, and we want every colleague, wherever they’re travelling from, in the room. If your passport means you need a Canadian visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to attend, here’s everything you need to make that the easiest part of your trip.

Officially registered event
ISBNPA 2027 Halifax is officially registered with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through its Special Events Liaison Unit (SELU). If you need a visa, your application will be identified as part of an event known to the Canadian authorities, and supported by an invitation letter prepared to IRCC’s requirements.
Your invitation letter will include the ISBNPA 2027 event code. Entering it on your visa application identifies you as a participant of an IRCC-registered event.
Your letter follows IRCC's guidance for registered events, so it includes all the information a visa office needs to see, stated accurately.
Complete, accurate supporting documents help you avoid refusals caused by missing or incorrect information, so you can apply with confidence.
Please note: visa and eTA decisions are made by IRCC on an individual basis. Event registration does not speed up processing or guarantee approval, so apply early and make sure you meet all entry requirements.

Submit your request through the registration platform. The option appears once registration is live.
Provide your passport details and full name exactly as they appear on your passport.
Allow up to 10 business days for your letter to be issued.
Your invitation letter confirms your registration and participation in ISBNPA 2027 Halifax, the Congress dates and venue, and the host and organizing bodies behind the event: everything a Canadian visa office needs to see. It's issued in your name only and can't be transferred to anyone else.
Visa and eTA processing times vary widely by country and can take several weeks, so the earlier you register and request your letter, the more time you'll have to look forward to the trip instead of watching a mailbox. If you're travelling from a country with longer processing times, make this your first to-do once registration opens in mid-November.
