Conference Venue
The Aotea Centre is a purpose-built contemporary conventions and performing arts centre designed with flexibility in mind. It is located in the heart of Auckland on the western edge of the Aotea Square near parking, accommodation and public transport. Its services include Auckland’s largest auditorium, state-of-the-art technical design and excellent acoustic separation to prevent noise transfer.
The venue is used for a wide range of events such as APEC summit in 1999, the NZ international Comedy Festival Galas, rock concerts and acts as the home for the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
The events hub underwent a major interior refurbishment, which included a new entrance and foyer, a new ticketing glass office, new bars and exhibition spaces, and updated lighting and floor and wall treatments.
